Mentee Role Details

A mentor/mentee relationship is a collaborative learning partnership in which learning flows freely in both directions. A mentee's purpose is to take the initiative for their own professional development and make the most of available learning opportunities. Mentees are responsible for driving the relationship and identifying skills, knowledge, and goals that they want to achieve, which should be communicated to the mentor. The goal of the mentee is to take full advantage of the opportunity to learn and professionally grow.

The time commitment is very flexible and should be mutually agreed upon with your mentor. We recommend a minimum of one hour of contact (either in person, by phone, or virtual meeting) per month and an email check in between meetings. We recommend an initial commitment of 6-9 months.
